2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs Presented by GEICO to End WBD Sports’ First Ever Presentation of the Stanley Cup Final
Warner Bros. Discovery Sports will drop the puck on its Sports Emmy-nominated coverage of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with up to 28 First Round matchbegins tuEsday, April 18 with Game 1 in “The Hudson River Rivalry” – the New York Rangers and Artemi Panarin travel to get the Jack Hughes and the Devils of New Jersey on 7 pm ET on TBS.
Kenny Albert will provide play-by-play, with commentary from Keith Jones and Jackie Redmond.
WBD Sports’ Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage will continue with a 15-game slate over five days, beginning with a First Round Game 2 doubleheader on Thursday, April 20 on TBS — Rangers on Devils on 7:30 in the eveningand Winnipeg Jets on Vegas Golden Knights on 10 p.m
Albert, Jones and Redmond will once again call the Rangers/Devils. Alex Faust will provide play-by-play for the Jets/Golden Knights, with commentary from Eddie Olczyk and Shane Hnidy.
TNT and TBS will combine television until 56 games during the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs, culminating in TNT’s first-ever presentation of the Stanley Cup Final, featuring extensive digital content and highlights from B/R Open Ice all postseason long.

WBD Sports Serves Successful Second Season of Hockey Coverage Across Platforms
The second year of live NHL regular season game coverage on TNT finished strong with the average time spent watching live game coverage up 58% compared to 2022 and the average audience for the post-NHL All Star Break games increased by 17%. NHL on TNT Sunday telecasts delivered a 52% increase in average audience over last season. Earlier this season, NHL on TNT also hosted its second Winter Classic in January, the most-watched NHL regular-season game of all time on cable television. At B/R Open Ice – Bleacher Report’s hockey vertical – video views across all platforms increased 8x, while overall engagement increased 3x vs. last season.
