Key operations in rail, building, marine and energy infrastructure all enjoyed earnings growth serving to the UK arm of the Dutch community to lift earnings 17% to £1.35bn. Highways and airport earnings were a minute bit down on last year.

CEO Richard Offord, who took the helm a year ago after 32 years at firm, talked about that the amplify in running profit margin from 2.4% to 2.8% was pushed by a recede in overheads growth in contrast to earnings growth.
