WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Senate leaders stated on Tuesday they expect President Joe Biden to send them a request by the stop of this week for billions of greenbacks in support for Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan and for security on the U.S. border.
The scale of the request was once no longer identified, nevertheless a congressional offer acquainted with the request stated Israel had asked for $10 billion, as it responds to an assault on its voters by the Iran-backed militant group Hamas.
Israel’s request is no longer a signal that the Biden administration would request, or Congress would approve, that quantity.
