LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – News 10 Sports Director Tim Staudt shared his thoughts on former Spartan Draymond Green who was suspended for one game for the incident on Monday night.
During game 2 of the opening playoff series of the Golden State Warriors, Green stepped on the chest of Sacramento’s Domantas Sabonis. Sabonis missed and fell in the fourth quarter, trapping Green’s leg. Green was given a flagrant foul 2 which resulted in an automatic ejection.
Sabonis has a sternum contusion and is listed as questionable for Thursday’s Game 3, with Green sitting out without pay.
In a statement, the NBA said:
“The suspension is based in part on Green’s history of unsportsmanlike conduct.”
