AMSTERDAM, April 19 (Reuters) – Dutch brewer Heineken ( HEIN.AS ) has asked regulators in the Russian Federation to approve the sale of its business in Russia.
“If and when we have approval, we will share more details about the buyer,” the company said Wednesday.
The disclosure was made in a trading update where the company forecast its operating profit this year to rise in the mid to high single-digit percentages.
Heineken has previously said it plans to exit Russia, which has posted a 300 million euro ($329 million) loss.
