Ant McPartlin’s ex-wife watched in horror today as a most distinguished fire tore through the £5million mansion in West London she as soon as shared with the TV presenter.
Eyewitnesses told MailOnline how Lisa Armstrong, 46, was left badly shaken as an inferno raged at the seven-bedroom home in leafy Chiswick.
Develop-up artist Ms Armstrong, who is renting the property out for roughly £10,000 a month, is asserted to have raced there after receiving a call from frail neighbours. She was spotted in the avenue watching helplessly as 40 firefighters tackled the blaze.
Ms Armstrong told MailOnline that no person had been injured in the inferno which led to next door neighbours fleeing from their homes. However residents told how the blaze had claimed the lifetime of a pet cat belonging to a family who are renting the property.

The property belongs to Ant’s frail wife Lisa Armstrong, whom he married in 2006 before they divorced in 2018. They are pictured together at the National Television Awards in 2017
One local resident acknowledged: ‘Lisa had a mobile phone call from an outmoded neighbour and she rushed out to find the home ablaze. She was in the avenue outside as the firemen were battling to sustain watch over the fire.
‘She was clearly disturbed to survey her home going up in flames. Fortunately the family who are living there weren’t at home at the time nevertheless their pet cat did no longer dwell to assert the tale. It be very unhappy.’
Ant’s TV partner Declan Donnelly – who lives three doors away – was no longer at home at the time of the blaze. Dec lives with his wife Ali Astall, whom he married in 2015, and their two childhood – Isla, five, and Jack, 13 months.
Ms Armstrong shared the home with Ant, whom she married in 2006, before the couple cut up in 2018. She is now renting it out to a family who weren’t at home when the fire broke out in an upstairs bedroom in the three storey home.
Asked if someone had been injure in the blaze, Ms Armstrong, who now lives two streets away, acknowledged: ‘Every person’s OK.’

However she declined to comment further saying: ‘I am sorry. I am no longer going to assert anything.’
The family renting the property easiest moved in about a months ago. The mother of the family is believed to had been on the college hasten when the fire broke out.
The blaze is assumed to have started in Ms Armstrong’s frail bedroom at the relief of the property on the 2d floor.

‘It was a massive fire. The flames went very fast into the roof. A few of the neighbours had to toddle away their properties nevertheless Declan and his family weren’t at the home at the time. He has been told about it.
