Britney Spears felt “relieved” when she lost the lead role in The Notebook to Rachel McAdams because she didn’t contain a easy ride filming Crossroads.
The pop singer is joyful she didn’t star alongside her fellow Mickey Mouse Club alum Ryan Gosling in the 2004 romance drama because she didn’t fancy what acting “did to (her) mind” on the distance of her 2002 movie debut.
“(Crossroads) was blooming indispensable the beginning and pause of my acting profession, and I was relieved,” she wrote in her memoir, The Girl in Me, reports Of us. “The Notebook casting came down to me and Rachel McAdams, and even though it would had been relaxing to reconnect with Ryan Gosling after our time on the Mickey Mouse Club, I’m joyful I didn’t make it.”
The 41-year-damaged-down explained that she unintentionally started plan acting on the distance of Crossroads and struggled to separate herself from her persona Lucy.
“I think I started Method acting – easiest I didn’t know find out how to interrupt out of my persona. I in fact grew to develop into this other person. Some individuals make Method acting, however they’re typically responsive to the true fact that they’re doing it. However I didn’t contain any separation at all,” she wrote.
“I finished up walking in a completely different design, carrying myself in a completely different design, talking in a completely different design.
