Nathan Aspinall has called on the PDC to exclude two leading stars from the Premier League.
The Asp has continued a disappointing year and finished fifth out of eight in the 2024 model, a competition that was won by 17-year-mature prodigy Luke Littler.
A mixture of discouraged form and accidents has seen Aspinall topple to number 12 on this planet rankings, meaning that he’s at serious threat of missing out on the 2025 Premier League.
That is, for certain, unless he places in an very best displaying at the World Darts Championship to propel himself back into contention to qualify.
While carrying benefit dictates that Aspinall would deserve to fail to impress the tournament, Apinall believes that he deserves a place in the Premier League ahead of Gerwyn Brand and Gary Anderson.
The duo, who are at reveal ranked tenth and 14th respectively, have instructed that they aren’t drawn to competing in the Premier League.

Brand admitted he ‘wasn’t certain’ about the tournament, but did later admit that he’d be ‘wearisome’ to turn down an invite.
Anderson, nevertheless, made it clear that he’d turn down a location, saying: “Premier League, you know, what I think, I’m at the age now where I’ve done it, got the t-shirt, thank you very much but no.”
With neither man overly satisfied by the tournament, Aspinall says that his passion for the competition should stare him awarded a place ahead of the duo.
“You know what, it really grates on me (players saying they don’t want to play in the Premier League),” Aspinall told On-line Darts.
“I’m really good mates with Gary Anderson, really good mates with Gerwyn Price, but if they don’t want it, don’t give it to them whether they deserve it or not.
“Why should they get that location when other folks care for myself, okay I’ve had a bad year and I form no longer deserve it, but I want it and I will impart one thing.
“I will give 110 per cent every single night on that stage. If they can’t be arsed, why put them in? I just don’t get it. I don’t even know why the PDC would consider it.
“If they save them in it appears to be like bad on the PDC for my part.”
Aspinall will be hoping to earn a spot in the Premier League with a positive showing at the World Darts Championship this month.
He’ll kick off his campaign in the second round on Wednesday, December 18 where he’ll face the winner of Cameron Menzies v Leonard Gates.
