New York (CNN) Right-wing extremist Tucker Carlson announced Tuesday that he will relaunch his program on Twitter, a platform he hailed as the world’s remaining great free-speech platform after he was fired from Fox News late part of last month.
Carlson announced a video Posted on the social media website, which was acquired by Elon Musk last year.
“Speech is the basic requirement for democracy. That’s why it was included in the first of our amendments to the Constitution,” Carlson said. “Ironically, until tonight, there weren’t many platforms left that allowed free speech. The last big one left … was Twitter, which is where we are now.”
