A 17-month-old woman and a man, 50, fill died in a crash between two autos in Lancashire.
Police said the pair were in a white Land Rover Discovery that collided with a Mini Cooper and then hit a tree in the village of Tarleton.
The toddler and man were both declared useless at the scene.
It happened on Hesketh Lane, end to the junction with Oaklands Avenue, merely prior to 8.30am on Sunday.
The motive force of the Mini used to be taken to clinic with minor injuries.
Sergeant Matt Davidson, of Lancashire Constabulary’s serious collision investigation unit, said: “These are terribly unhappy and tragic cases which fill resulted in a man and a young woman losing their lives this morning.
“Our ideas are very extraordinary with their loved ones at this bad time.”
The force has appealed for witnesses and any individual with dashcam or CCTV photos to attain encourage forward to reduction with the investigation.
