Founders Edson and Natalie Diaz-Fuentes have taken over location on Thayer Avenue that became once home to Carlo Scotto’s Xier and most no longer too long within the past housed Peruvian izakaya opinion Nakanojo.
Announcing the original opening on Instagram, Edson and Natalie acknowledged: “We’re overjoyed to drawl the subsequent chapter in our sprint: we are going to have the opportunity to be opening our third restaurant in Marylebone in November 2024.
“We see forward to welcoming all our routine and original company to Santo Remedio Marylebone and to being a factor of this neighbourhood.”
Edson, the former head of menu innovation at Wahaca, launched Santo Remedio with his wife Natalie on Shoreditch’s Rivington Avenue in 2016.
The initial restaurant became a colossal hit with every diners and critics. The Observer’s Jay Rayner dubbed it to be ‘beefy of lightness and brightness, color, punch and enthusiasm’.
Alternatively, factual five months after opening the doorways, the couple were forced to shutter the restaurant permanently.
Edson and Natalie therefore relocated to London Bridge in 2017.
They at closing returned to Shoreditch in behind 2021 with the outlet of Santo Remedio Café on Substantial Japanese Avenue.
Speaking to Restaurant earlier this One year, Natalie spoke of her and Edson’s long-term ambition for the industry.
“In five years’ time I’d love a series of restaurants,” she acknowledged.
In addition to to cafés and total-carrier restaurants identical to those in Shoreditch and London Bridge, respectively, she acknowledged the pair are also birth to the conclusion of taquerias, and bars with reside music.
