Santikos Entertainment is adding bowling lanes, arcade games and multiple concessions to the New Braunfels movie theater — changes the San Antonio company is making at other locations as well.
Santikos plans to add 50 arcade games, eight bowling lanes, a sports bar and a larger food menu this fall.
“We want to be your number one choice for family fun in New Braunfels,” CEO Tim Handren said in an announcement.

Santikos and other theater chains are adding entertainment options to attract more customers and boost sales.
At the company’s Silverado theater, seven auditoriums will be demolished to make way for 14 bowling lanes, more than 60 arcade games, a party room, sports bar and new concessions.
Its Cibolo theater, which opened in 2019, has 16 bowling lanes, laser tag arena, virtual reality and arcade games and craft beer, cocktails and food items.
Its other locations have similar offerings, a mix that Santikos will model for any new theater it builds. The chain is eyeing a location at Texas 211 and Potranco Road.
