Christian Pulisic’s transfer to AC Milan last summer season no longer only equipped the U.S. men’s national team star with a new alternative, but also reconnected him with several archaic teammates.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek was one of those archaic teammates that Pulisic reunited with this season after the duo previously featured at English Premier League aspect Chelsea. Both Pulisic and Loftus-Cheek have featured heavily for the Rossoneri this season as they remain in the race for Serie A and Europa League success.
Pulisic has been one of the higher players for Stefano Pioli’s squad this campaign, logging seven goals and six assists in 29 mixed appearances. After a tough ending to his Chelsea career, the 25-year-extinct has gotten back in his groove in Milan, the use of relationships with Loftus-Cheek among others to achieve so.
Loftus-Cheek will certainly team up with Pulisic in several extra matches this season and praised him for his impact in the squad so far.
“After playing so long with Christian, I do know what he likes to achieve and the place he likes the ball,” Loftus-Cheek said in a club interview on social media. “We have a fair connection. Especially at the start of the season, we have been both playing on the suitable aspect. It is a joy to play with him.”
AC Milan sits third in Serie A ahead of Sunday’s crucial league showdown with Napoli. The Rossoneri will then host French club Rennes in the primary leg of their Europa League knockout round playoff tie on dwelling soil.
