London- and Paris-based production, finance, and sales company Film Constellation is handling global sales and bringing the picture to EFM.
Set in a coastal United States during the 1918 Spanish Flu, the picture follows a rebellious servant who leads a revolt against his wealthy employer.
Sarsgaard (The Batman, The Lost Daughter, Dopesick) stars alongside Billy Magnussen (No Time to Die, The Many Saints of Newark, Game Night) and Sarah Gadon (Future Ferrari, Maps to the Stars, Enemy).
COUP! produced by Brian Levy for Entertainment 360, Warner Davis and Todd Friedman of Hemlock Circle Productions, and Molly Conners, Amanda Bowers, and Jane Sinisi for Phiphen with Harris Gurny. Executive producers include Fabien Westerhoff, Magnussen through his Happy Bad Bungalow banner, and Peter Sarsgaard.
The production expects the film to be completed in time for this year’s fall festivals.
