Moment fight accidentally stopped by confused referee after MMA star gets a splinter in his toe sparks huge controversy

MMA star Cedric Doumbe was left “disgusted” after his fight was stopped because of a SPLINTER in his toe.

Doumbe, a frail world kickboxing champion, returned for his sixth bout in the cage against rival Baysangur “Baki” Chamsoudinov.

Nonetheless it ended in controversial vogue as in spherical three Doumbe iced up and complained about a foot injury.

The welterweight pointed towards his toes and appeared to inform referee Marc Goddard that he wanted a time out.

And Doumbe, speaking in French, raged: “I’m disgusted. I didn’t want this. Make some noise for Baki. This isn’t his fault. It’s the ref’s fault.

“I feel treasure there’s a part of glass or wood in my foot. I advised the ref. I advised Baki. Baki said so gather it out. And then the ref stopped it.

“I never asked to stay the fight.”

Doumbe mercurial called for a rematch, adding: “I’m no longer determined if Baki wants it. I have no idea what correct happened. I’m very sad.

“Indisputably, I want to accomplish this again.”

Baki said: “Doumbe is a myth of kickboxing. It was an honour to fight. This is no longer how I want to win.”
