Police in Canada are investigating the bizarre theft of a taxidermy polar bear weighing some 500lb (225kg) from a resort shut to Edmonton.
The bear, standing some 12ft (3.6m) substantial, is believed to were snatched during the frosty snap in early January with temperatures shut to -30C (-22F).
It used to be reported stolen on 22 January by the operators of the Lily Lake Resort, according to police.
