BELDING – A group of Belding High School students will travel to California in April to showcase their business, information technology and leadership skills.
Belding High School’s Business Professionals of America Chapter will attend the 2023 BPA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California. The conference is scheduled for April 26-30, according to a press release.
There were nearly 6,000 delegates from across the US at the conference, according to the release. They compete for top honors in business and information technology skills competitions, attend leadership and professional development workshops, and receive awards for community service activities. They will also elect BPA’s national student leadership team for 2023-2024.
“BPA provides real-world experiences for our students,” said Belding BPA Co-Advisor Patricia Lōser. “They develop skills not only in specific business activities, but they also improve their ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and present themselves in a professional manner.
“Participating in BPA has changed the course of students’ future college and career plans, and many students have gone on to successful internships and professional positions within the business.”
