British number two Jodie Burrage has been knocked out of the Linz Inaugurate after shedding to Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia in the quarter-finals.
Top seed Ostapenko received 6-1 6-2 to growth to the closing four in Austria.
Burrage, 24, had beaten Romania’s Jaqueline Cristian in the old round to reach the closing eight of a WTA 500 event for the principle time.
But she struggled after picking up an wreck early on against Ostapenko, who received in a single hour and 10 minutes.
