AMHERST, Mass — An indie-pop band and former winner of Windham County’s Got Talent is performing in nearby Western Mass later this month.
Moxie, which has been touring both coasts for the past six months, has gained a large following for its danceable sound. The four piece will perform at 8 pm March 31 at The Drake in Amherst, with support from Cloudbelly and LuxDeluxe. Doors open at 7 p.m
Moxie’s latest single, “VT-9,” is as loud as it is thoughtful, according to the description provided.
“As a crashing intro fades away, nostalgic lyricism fills the space as the band demonstrates their impressive ability to make disparate sections come together. Distant piano graces the final notes. As they rings, the band tells everyone when the overhead mics catch them saying, ‘that one feels sweet,'” the description reads.
