Regardless of Jon Jones now retaining the belt, Francis Ngannou calm considers himself the UFC ‘heavyweight king’.
Jones became UFC heavyweight champion on Saturday evening after rapidly tapping out Ciryl Gane at UFC 285.
This was Jones’ first fight in three years, but he looked as sharp as ever and after the clash he called out extinct two-time heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.
With that being said, the fight that fans really want to contemplate is against extinct heavyweight champion, Ngannou.
“Accurate job Jonny Boy,” Ngannou tweeted after watching Jones’ victory.
He then signed off by saying: “Sincerely, The heavyweight king.”
Jones did no longer take kindly to this, as he reacted to Ngannou’s tweet in his post-fight press conference, as he said: “Francis is a grand ancient p****.
Prior to adding with a smile: “I really love that quote, all that muscle with a grand a** p****.”

With Ngannou having lately parted ways with the UFC following a drawn out contract dispute, it appears no longer going a clash with Jones will happen anytime soon.
UFC president, Dana White, was asked if it was a risk in the post-fight press conference and he answered: “I attempted to make that fight, it’s accomplished, by no means going to happen.
“We tried to make that fight with him for 3 years. You’ve got to want that fight.
“We all want to contemplate a fight, but the guys got to want the fight. Francis doesn’t want the fight and I can’t make him fight.”
Meanwhile, Ngannou appears extra in trying his hand at boxing, having called out each Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua as his ideal first opponents.
