The incident befell on Tuesday on the outskirts of the capital Bangkok.
The bus became carrying 44 passengers from central Uthai Thani province for a school outing in Ayutthaya and Nonthaburi provinces, transport minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit told journalists on the scene.
