Mad locals have slammed ‘entitled’ tourists who blocked a main road by parking their cars to catch the sunrise at a famous Australian landmark.
Chaotic scenes engulfed the scenic location in Byron Bay on the NSW north coast on Tuesday morning as dozens of tourists clogged the road to Cape Byron lighthouse to earn a learn about of the sparkling view.
Resident Helene Konig uploaded a video and photos to Facebook yesterday afternoon exhibiting cars overflowing the parking areas near the famous lighthouse.
‘Zero f***s given at the lighthouse car park this morning,’ Ms Konig wrote.
Shocking footage confirmed several autos left on the road in entrance of the public car park by tourists desperate to catch the sunrise.

Large vans and SUVs were among the autos that blocked the road, leaving residents residing nearby unable to earn in and out of the area.
Ms Konig said one local resident who left his car in the carpark was forced to wait for several tourists to jog their autos as he was unable to earn out.
‘He was in his car that was parked on a normal parking area and he got parked in,’ Ms Konig told Yahoo.
‘He got out and told the younger crew that came out of their car to jog it nonetheless they refused because they wanted to catch the sunrise.’
Ms Konig said most of the tourists in their early 20s made up our minds to leave their autos on the road as soon as the carpark filled up.
Her social media post was flooded with dozens of feedback from users who expressed their outrage at the drivers for blocking the road.
‘Entitled,’ one user wrote.
‘The ones blocking road access may restful earn a major comely plus loss of facets,’ another said.
‘Let’s experience to Byron, road guidelines don’t exist there.’

Others chimed in suggesting solutions to the parking field in the area.
‘Wants a regular shuttle from one of the car parks further out,’ one user said.
The Cape Byron lighthouse car parks opens at around 8am and is regularly busy because it’s promoted as an ideal area to watch the sunrise.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Byron Shire Council for remark.
The Cape Byron lighthouse is a popular area which allows visitors to take in sparkling 360 panoramic views of the ocean and the surrounding coastal areas of the situation.
The heritage listed structure was in-constructed 1901 by Charles Harding.
