Happy February, Baton Rouge. T-minus 13 days until Valentine’s Day, which means, if you haven’t booked a reservation yet, you’re too late. In full transparency, though, I’m not the first bird to catch the worm – but you can. This week, there are many Valentine’s Day events. So, explore your options, and take your pick.
Valentine’s Day dinner and live music
Everyone loves dinner and a show. Head to the Crowne Plaza Executive Center at 6 p.m., Friday, February 10 for live music by George Bell & Friends and a three-course gourmet menu with wine. There are two packages to choose from: the dinner and dance package for $231 and the total romance package for $296.83, which includes a guest room, dinner and breakfast for two. The dinner menu includes items such as lamb côtelette, raspberry duck, salmon en croute, chocolate mousse cake and cheesecake with raspberry compote.

A celebratory menu at Juban’s Restaurant
For one night only, enjoy the Valentine’s Day menu at Chef Chris Motto’s restaurant. After dinner, head to the dance floor to enjoy live music. Some of the menu items included are tempura lobster, espresso-rubbed short rib and raspberry chocolate tart.

Galentine’s Day in the Tunnel
Gather friends and spend a night in the Tunnel to celebrate galentine’s day from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Monday, February 13 at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center, 201 Lafayette St . The event will include drinks, light hors d’oeuvres, party favors and a photo wall.

Louisiana Culinary Institute open house

After last year’s great success, Tin Roof Brewing Company is hosting a sequel to their “Singled Out” Speed Dating Night for Valentine’s weekend at 6 p.m., Saturday, February 11 at 1624 Wyoming St. The event is low-stakes and fun, and the brewery disclosed that they are not match-makers, just brewery employees who like to have fun and try to make it easier for Baton Rouge singles to get together. Galentine’s Day Social
Bring your best friend, and party with a purpose. Join the Power Pump Girls for a galentine’s social from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, February 13 at Soji, 5050 Government St., to celebrate womanhood with old (and new) ong) friends. The social is a fundraiser event with all proceeds supporting PPG’s impact programs. Expect fun, awesomeness, food and PPG merchandise. Noodle bowl fundraiser
St. Thomas Moore is busy planning for their 2023 STM Festival, which means the noodle bowl fundraiser is back from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Sunday, February 5 at 11441 Goodwood Blvd. Known traditionally as Bun Thit Cha Gio, the bowl includes rice noodles with grilled pork and an egg roll.

If you want to celebrate Valentine’s Day a week early, head to 18 Steak at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel for a wine pairing and four-course dinner from 6pm to 9pm, Tuesday , February 7 at 777 L’ Auberge Ave., 70820.
