Barstool Sports founder David Portnoy has dropped his appeal seeking to reinstate his claims against Insider Inc. for allegedly publishing false accusations that he had sex with women.
The US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit dismissed Portnoy’s appeal on Thursday, a day after the parties filed a stipulated motion to dismiss. The court docket did not indicate a reason for the dismissal and attorneys for the parties did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
