Kaveri also discussed the impact of motherhood on her career:
As a working mother of two young children, I had to learn to juggle parenting and the demanding job of a litigator. It involved a lot of trial and error, a lot of rushing from one job to another, and a lot of help from my village. I became more efficient than I thought!
While it was challenging, several colleagues told me they also saw a switch when I came back from maternity leave after my first child—a more confident, driven, fierce lawyer. Maybe it’s time, but I think being a mother also has its share of change. I came back with a real desire to make the most of every day. I also strive every day to be a role model for my two daughters and show them that it is possible to be a strong, career-driven woman who loves and values her family unconditionally.
