COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Columbia Parks and Recreation is holding a public meeting to get input on expanding the Columbia Sports Fieldhouse, according to a press release Wednesday from the city.
The meeting is 5-7 pm Tuesday, Feb. 7 at the Fieldhouse at 4251 Philips Farm Road.
The facility expansion includes four additional hardwood courts, restrooms, office space, meeting rooms and common areas, according to a press release. The Columbia Sports Fieldhouse opened in 2019 to fill the community’s need for a multi-use indoor sports facility. Input is also taken online.
Funding for the Fieldhouse expansion will come from the Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau Tourism Development Fund, general fund reserves, private donations and the voter-approved Park Sales Tax starting in 2021.
