Disney announced that the National Geographic documentary series, “Black Travel Across America” will arrive on Disney+ in the United States on Friday, February 24, 2023.
Travel Consultant, Martinique Lewis, embarks on a journey to visit historically listed Green Book locations and modern black travel destinations.
The “Green book” was the brainchild of Harlem-based postman Victor Hugo Green. The Green Book gave African Americans advice about safe places to eat and sleep while traveling in a divided America. This documentary follows the hosts as they embark on a journey across America visiting modern historical landmarks from the Green Book, gaining new insights and stories about these many historical locations from local experts.
The new series will also arrive on Hulu on February 7, 2023.
