Police officers lined a road in Nottingham on Tuesday, where several road closures were in place as authorities dealt with what they called a major incident.

Three people were found dead in the English city of Nottingham on Tuesday in what police called a major incident.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, Nottinghamshire Police said.
Police were alerted to an incident on Ilkeston Road near the city center early Tuesday local time, where two people were found dead.
Officers were then called to another incident a few streets down, on Milton Street, where a van tried to run over three people. They were hospitalized afterwards. A man was also found dead on Magdala street.
Police said they believe the three incidents are related.

Authorities reacted to the “horrific and terrifying” incident on Tuesday.
“This is a terrible and horrific incident which has claimed the lives of three people,” said Chief Constable Kate Meynell.
UK lawmaker Robert Jenrick said locals were in “shock,” following the events.
“I am so grateful to @nottspolice and all who responded to the horrific attack earlier today in Nottingham. All of us in Nottinghamshire are in shock. My thoughts and prayers are with those injured and the family and friends of the dead,” he said Tweet.
Another UK lawmaker, Alex Norris, tweeted: “Terrible news for our city to wake up to today. Our community’s thoughts and prayers are with all those affected. Our thanks go out to our blue light responders for their work today as well.
