A large police presence gathered outside the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago on Wednesday afternoon because of a domestic disturbance in the building, authorities said.
Chicago police say they responded to a domestic-related incident at the building, and at this time believe it was an “isolated incident,” with no ongoing threat to the public at this time.
According to Total Traffic, the police presence was concentrated at the entrance of the building near Kinzie Street and Wabash Avenue, with SWAT officers on the scene.
Wabash Avenue is closed in both directions between Wacker Drive and Hubbard Street due to the ongoing incident, according to Total Traffic and Chicago police.
We will update this story with details as they are released.
