Friday’s Barbershop marks 5 years in business
Friday’s Barbershop at 509 N. Cleveland Ave in downtown Loveland will reach its fifth business anniversary on April 3.
This is a happy occasion for business that marks the second anniversary of the pandemic shutdown in April 2020, when only essential businesses were allowed to open.
Co-owner Shawn Woodrum said the business “pretty much survived COVID with everyone cutting their own hair, but we survived.”
He said he and co-owner Allie Greggs, accompanied by Gidget the shop dog, are still working to get the barbershop back to the record month it was before the pandemic began.
The shop specializes in men’s haircuts and beard trims, and also offers facial waxing and hair coloring.
Hours are 9 am-6 pm Monday-Friday and 9 am-1 pm Saturday.

Days Roll By bike shop marks 15th anniversary
Days Roll By will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a customer appreciation sale during April.
The reconditioned bike and bicycle parts store is located at 285 E. 29th St. at Orchards Shopping Center.
The store is offering a 15% discount on the cost of reconditioned bikes as a way to say “thank you” to customers, according to a news release.
According to the release, the shop recycles, upcycles, restores and reuses bicycle components to rebuild modern and vintage bicycles, and in doing so has saved thousands of bicycles. from the landfill.
The staff also repairs and tunes most of the bikes.
The store recently started carrying e-bikes at the request of customers. This is now Mokwheel’s Front Range carrier.
The store is open noon-5 pm Tuesday and Wednesday, and 10 am-3 pm Thursday-Saturday.

Human Bean donates to Meals on Wheels; planning an upcoming food drive
Human Bean Northern Colorado is dedicating Barista Guest Day on March 9 to raise money for Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud. Ten percent of all sales made at 6180 E. Crossroads Blvd. Loveland location was donated, resulting in $384.81 for the nonprofit.
Representatives from Meals on Wheels served as guest baristas to support the effort and share information about the organization with customers.
Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud seeks to nurture and improve the lives of homeless seniors and individuals with disabilities in our communities with nutritious meals and daily contact with those volunteer, according to a news release. Human Bean Northern Colorado has been locally owned and operated since 2004, ad now has 10 locations in Northern Colorado and a mobile coffee truck.
Human Bean Northern Colorado is now encouraging the community to clean out their pantries by donating any unopened and unexpired items to those in need.
All Human Bean Northern Colorado locations will accept donations from April 16 to 30, and customers who donate five or more items will receive a free 20-ounce drink on the Human Bean app.
Donations will be distributed between Fort Collins Rescue Mission and Weld Food Bank. The most needed items include canned beans, canned meats, canned soups, canned fruits, canned vegetables, canned tomatoes, dried beans, grains, nut butters, cereals, pastas, apple sauce, quinoa, honey, broths, oats, jelly and protein bars.
