April 1. The four leading 18-hole lakeside golf clubs have partnered to provide 72 holes of fairway fun in one day. It usually takes hours of driving through frustrating traffic to get to all four courses. But startup business Birdie Barges is giving golfers a game-changer.
Players can get between courses in just a few minutes—and enjoy the journey. They will launch a fleet of custom ferries aptly named Fairway Ferries to access The Peninsular Club, Trump National Golf Club, Westport Golf Club and Cowan’s Ford Country Club.
For a small upcharge, golfers can practice their drives while sailing across the lake using marine-life-friendly golf balls made from compressed fish food. Opening day has been pushed from April 1 to May 4. So grab your clubs and “may the front be with you!”
