Big Ambition Taking the concept of a business startup owner and shaping it into a high-quality business simulator game. Released in early access on Steam, Big Ambition a well-made game that allows players to dive into the life of starting businesses from scratch and slowly but surely rise to the top. Big Ambition provides many paths for a player to start their entrepreneurial journey and go through the long death of the tasks and challenges that come with running their own business.
Big Ambition goes the extra mile and sets a progress that gives a sense of success when big deals go through, or when players achieve small victories. Diving in Big Ambition can be a daunting experience, especially when trying the business simulator sim genre for the first time. However, in a system of charts, numbers, and productivity, there is a foolproof method that players can use for the best results.
5 Employees Need Training
As a startup business owner, the most critical aspect of the business is the employees, second only to the customer. For starters, players are more likely to work with their employees to increase the number of buyers they can serve in any business they decide to go into.
Players should pay close attention to their workers, because they have needs like everyone else. Most importantly, players should always take the time to train their workers for their tasks. Training costs time and money, which seems like a red flag when starting out with little profit. However, while managing the business behind the scenes, it is most important that a player’s business is in good hands.
4 Fees and Taxes
The goal of any business owner is to make a profit; it’s a slow and heavy task that will take countless hours of play to accomplish. However, when a player finally reaches the pinnacle of business ownership and takes success from the clouds, they are met with a reward letter from the Tax Office.
The bill for business profits is due every sixty days until paid, claiming a percentage of the business’s profits as tax. If payment is not made within a certain time limit, the Tax Office will begin to seize the player’s property until the debt is resolved. In order to avoid big troubles that could potentially make a profit in the tank, it is important to give the Tax Man his due.
3 Carefully Plan The Layout Of Any Business
It is not enough for a business to sell or provide a service. Customers are a picky breed, and have certain needs that must be met before they are willing to engage with what a business has to offer. As the business owner, it’s the player’s job to make sure everything runs smoothly, from storage to customer service to the location.
A business should be a comfortable place, which is important to employees and customers. Optimizing the layout of any business is also important to productivity. Players should consider displaying their product where it can be easily noticed, such as display cases. In addition, it is important to ensure that a store always has resources in stock. Setting up a storage area will ensure that products do not run out and can be restocked when needed.
2 Upgrade Your Vehicle
At the start of the game, players will receive a lot of help from the NPC Uncle Fred. At various times, Uncle Fred will give helpful (or not so helpful) advice to the player about what they should do. Uncle Fred even gives the player a car that can store up to eight items in the trunk, to help the player get from A to B.
While the starting vehicle is helpful, as soon as possible, players should purchase a larger vehicle that can hold more items, which will save money in the long run. More storage space means fewer trips between wholesalers and more time to sell. Buying a truck or van can be valuable as players climb the ladder and develop their businesses. Growing businesses demand more products faster, requiring a faster way to transport them.
1 Enjoy Delivery
When a business begins to grow, players often begin to expand their businesses to other fields, perhaps even to many businesses of different types. At this stage of the game, finding the time to buy items, pick them up, and stock them is hard to find. More permanent solutions are buying trucks, hiring drivers, and even warehouses to store large quantities of goods. However, these costs may not be affordable.
Fortunately, it is possible to set up deliveries from wholesalers and leave the issue of getting the item to someone else. However, deliveries are set up through contracts and are relatively expensive for early stage businesses. Additionally, each delivery costs $1,000 regardless of how many items are purchased. Therefore, players should always order the maximum amount of products allowed, to take advantage of this feature.
Big Ambition is available to play on PC via Steam.
